Hi Folks!
Please see the project notice below from a commercial client of mine. This is a personal project for her, an entry to a contest sponsored by Pepsi. Deadline for submissions is this Wednesday at 6 PM. Projects shoots Jan 17 or 18.
The concept: We see a yuppie-ish couple in a mall parking lot. They are well dressed and well coifed, and bringing items to their fancy-schmancy car. The never say a word and barely look at each other, but their body language and face expressions convey a tenseness or impatience towards each other (not anger, but something the audience would likely see as "snobby annoyance"). They go through a usual/structured routine of actions in putting their items into the car and getting in themselves.
All the while, a down-to-earth teenage couple in very casual, comfortable clothing/jeans is watching them. They shoot looks to each other that clearly translate their subtle astonishment and amusement at the exchange they are witnessing...and their general contentment and conviction that they will never "evolve" into that couple.
This is a non-union project, and the finished product will be about 60 seconds long. It is non-paying. However, IF the film wins the Grand Prize, a stipend will be paid to the talent. There will be a good amount of face time on camera, but no lines. If you are good at face expressions & reactions and are interested in being considered, instructions for submitting are below. Shoot location will likely be the North Shore area of Massachusetts... Peabody/Danvers-ish.
Your Name
Your phone number
Attach your headshot and resume, and a link to an online portfolio if you have one
Subject Line of your response should be: Short: Your Name
If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must submit on your behalf.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS 6:00 PM WEDNESDAY, JAN 13.
There will no audition. Talent will be chosen based on headshot and resume review. On-camera or stage acting experience is preferred.
Good luck! Remember... Send to MariaDC@comcast.net ...NOT to me!
