Shivnath Productions is casting for the indie feature film “Director’s Cut"

Shivnath Productions is casting for the indie feature film “Director’s Cut.” Shooting in Queens for three weeks. Shoot starts May 1st, 2010. Non-Union. Director: Elana Mugdan.

Director's Cut is a low-budget independent feature slated to begin production in May. It is the story of Cassie Thompson, an ex-film student who is tired of being disrespected and downtrodden. In a subconscious effort to turn her life around, she decides to make a movie. The only problem is the movie is impossible for her to film without a $100 million budget, and her cast and crew are neurotic and inexperienced. Actors will be remunerated in full for all food and travel expenses incurred during the shoot. You will receive screen credit and a finished copy of the movie for your demo reel. We also offer our actors the added service of editing together your demo reels for free - we have a very talented post-production crew, all of whom are experienced editors and graphic designers. We intend to submit this film to the festival circuit.

Seeking:
Alice - 41-50. - supporting role; the mother of our protagonist. Cassie's mother is the boss at home. She is straightforward, a control freak, and somewhat of a nag to Cassie (but only because she loves her daughter). She is not supportive of Cassie's endeavors involving the movie because she thinks it's a waste of Cassie's time and that it will only end in heartbreak, as so many of Cassie's dreams have done before.

Mr. Weigman - 31-40 - supporting role; Cassie's boss. Weigman is the head of his own distribution company, but he does not like being on the business side of the film industry. The 9-5 grind makes him cranky, and if he does not get his coffee in the morning, terrible things are sure to follow.

Security guard - cameo; We are looking for a male actor who owns or has access to a Security Guard uniform.

Policeman - speaking role; We are looking for a male actor who owns or has access to a Policeman uniform.

Terry - Male. 18-24. Speaking role; Terry works with our protagonist at her internship. He is metrosexual and rather self-impressed. He's very proud of his job and enjoys bossing Cassie around and acting a bit more important than he actually is.
