Actor needed for The Weir

Male Actor for production of Conor McPherson’s , The Weir to be performed at The Gorton’s Theatre (home of Gloucester Stage Co.) March 18-21 & 25-28.

The Weir is a modern masterpiece. It’s a true ensemble with 5 roles. 4 roles are set

The character: Jim, an assistant mechanic who lives at home with his aging mother. He would be about 35-55 A big-hearted man that is referenced by the others “as having more going on than meets the eye”.

As the play is set in rural Ireland- a passable accent is a must (there will be coach available)

All rehearsals will be in the evening.

There will be a stipend- amount as yet to be determined.
