Five Course Love is a comedic tour-de-force for three actors, each playing five roles over five scenes. Each scene is in a different restaurant with the musical style reflecting the ethnicity of each restaurant. The search for love is the constant theme throughout. Seeking actors who are true chameleons; adept at sketch comedy and various accents in addition to being great singers.

Woman:
Female, mid 30s. Mezzo Soprano with a belt to a D. Actress plays:
• Barbie: Country girl through and through. Looking for a good time. Very Tanya Tucker when she wants a man, very Loretta Lynn when she’s been wronged by one.
• Sofia: Mob wife cheating on her husband, Nicky the mob Boss. Very conflicted. Very Michelle Pfeifer in “Married to the Mob”.
• Gretchen: Weimar Republic Dominatrix. Dietrich with better breath support. Goes through men with an acetelyne torch.
• Rosalinda: Peasant farm girl. Smitten with the idea of marrying a hill bandit. Not too deep.
• Kitty: Bookworm. Lost at love several times. Loner. Works the counter at the Diner. Big crush on the unattainable Clutch.

Man 1:
Male, mid 30s. Baritone/Lyric Baritone with a belt to an F. Actor plays:
• Matt: Bookworm. Lost at love several times. Loner. Computer-ish day job. Glasses, pocket-protector. Out on first date in months. Has not been formally introduced to his body.
• Gino: Hot-blooded Italian Stallion. Having affair with mob Boss’ wife. Vengeful. Simmering. Very, very male.
• Klaus: Bisexual lover of both Gretchen and Heimlich. Has no idea of the connection. Boy toy.
• Guillermo: Pancho Villa wanna-be. Very full of himself. Zorro-light. Not too deep.
• Clutch: Caveman brow ridge. Car Mechanic. Handsome and dumb. Is clueless of Kitty’s affection for him.

Man 2:
Male, mid 30s. Lyric Baritone/Tenor with a belt to an A. Actor plays:
• Dean: Host at the rib joint. Completely at home. County with a capital “C”. Happy to see just about anybody. Overflowing with enthusiasm.
• Carlo: Perpetually nervous head waiter. Nicky’s informant. Wide-eyed and terrified that Nicky will discover the affair between Sofia and Gino.
• Heimlich: Bisexual host of the restaurant. Entangled with a girlfriend and a boyfriend simultaneously. Successful at neither. Everyone coughs whenever his name is mentioned.
• Ernesto: Lonely-hearted owner of the Cantina. Fighting for Rosalinda’s love. A true romantic.
• Pops: Fairy Godfather to Kitty’s Cinderella. Perry Como. Owner of the Diner. Perpetually drying a tin frappe cup with a hand towel. Turns into Cupid at the end of the musical.
