Casting for the art house short film “Red Desert”

Casting for the art house short film “Red Desert” (working title).
Seeking two male actors (leads) to play Russian Astronauts. Actors must be
proficient in spoken Russian, and comfortable with partial nudity (topless,
simulated sex). Actors should be between 18-35 years old. Must be comfortable
playing a homosexual character, as well as being physically affectionate on
camera. There is no explicit pornographic content whatsoever.

Plot Synopsis: Two Russian Astronauts travel to Mars (a PR coup of sorts)
to humiliate U.S. and reestablish Russia as a Neo-Communist Superpower. The
Cosmonauts are provisional lovers for the duration of their journey to the
Red Planet. This is an Art House Satire, which will be shot in a studio
set, and upstate NY, at beautiful Lake Minnewaska. The approximate duration
is 12-20 minutes. This project will premier at the Columbia University
School of Visual Arts MFA Thesis Show Exhibition. We have great equipment, and
an excellent crew.
Filming to begin mid-February.
